What if you could change the past… save a life and in doing so, alter history?
Sam Reilly lives a world where China is the sole nuclear power. While working on a project to secretly develop an atomic weapon, an envelope containing a flash drive mysteriously appears in his apartment. As a result of that, he is abruptly reassigned to an amazing project researching the possibility of time travel! When the project director mysteriously disappears, Army investigator Frank Marino is called in and soon discovers a pattern of scientists who died or disappeared dating back to 1942.
All along Sam has been experiencing dreams of a dark assassin murdering an unknown victim. Believing the dreams are visions of past events, he figures out who the victim is. Convincing the others, he travels back in time to investigate, winding up in 1942 Chicago. With the country in the midst of World War II, he meets the would be victim, who has the potential to drastically alter history. As the date of the murder nears, Sam struggles with the consequences of helping the victim and altering history. One thing leads to another and Sam soon finds himself in over his head.
With the help of Frank and physicist Danielle Olsson, they try to unravel the puzzle of Sam’s visions. But Sam has another motive he is keeping from the others, which may force him to make a difficult decision. As world events deteriorate, the elusive assassin stays one step ahead of them. With the US and China on the brink of war the three are in a fight against time before nuclear weapons are launched. Can they change the past to save the future? Should they?
